Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including mowing, trimming, litter removal, and seasonal planting
- Perform routine cleaning and safety inspections of playgrounds, athletic courts, and restrooms
- Assist in setting up/breaking down for events, festivals, and recreational programs
- Operate light machinery (mowers, trimmers) and hand tools for maintenance tasks
- Monitor park usage, enforce safety protocols, and report maintenance issues
- Support winter operations including snow removal and ice management
- Collaborate with team members on beautification projects and seasonal initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills for public interaction
- Ability to work independently and follow written/oral instructions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Preferred: Prior landscaping, construction, or park maintenance experience
