As a Systems Analyst, you will bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and citywide policy objectives, ensuring our digital services are accessible, secure, and user-centric.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and development of enterprise-level software solutions for public sector clients.
- Ensure all technical projects adhere to federal, state, and local government compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with city officials and department heads to translate policy needs into technical specifications.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to maintain data integrity and security protocols.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on complex government systems integration.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all system architectures and workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT analysis or project management within a government or public sector environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of California state procurement regulations and local government IT frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, and government reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid California Driver’s License and ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation.
