Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex IT projects from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with government objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders effectively through regular status reports and meetings.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party contractors to ensure quality deliverables.
- Ensure strict compliance with government regulations, security standards, and contract requirements.
- Mentor junior project managers and team leads to foster professional growth.
- Facilitate change management processes to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of IT Project Management experience in a federal or state government environment.
- PMP, PgMP, or CAPM certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and IT infrastructure.
- Proven track record of managing budgets over $1M and large cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret/Top Secret).
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
