Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect, diagnose, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Manage and maintain the Security Operations Center (SOC) incident response workflows.
- Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across the enterprise.
- Provide expert consultation on cybersecurity risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Prepare and present detailed security reports to senior leadership and auditors.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ required (CISA or CISM preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or information systems security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and log analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.
