Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructure for various city departments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement disaster recovery protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT solutions align with city strategic goals.
- Enforce strict cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular system audits, security assessments, and provide technical guidance to junior staff members.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and virtualization environments efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or VCP are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak times and on-call rotation.
