This is an immediate hire opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to manage critical infrastructure and support county-wide operations.

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the county's server infrastructure, including Windows and Linux environments.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for end-users across various government departments.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy efficient IT solutions.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to maintain knowledge bases.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential outages or vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with government compliance standards and security clearance processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical staff.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
