Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret state/federal regulatory changes affecting Texas agencies
- Conduct compliance audits across 15+ state departments
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for violations
- Train agency staff on new compliance protocols
- Prepare monthly compliance reports for legislative committees
- Collaborate with legal teams on regulatory updates
- Manage confidential compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years compliance/regulatory experience in government sector
- Texas Notary Public certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Texas driver's license with clean record
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance (background check required)
- Experience with regulatory tracking software (e.g., ComplyAssistant)
