Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers and baggage at airport checkpoints
- Operate advanced X-ray machines and metal detectors to detect prohibited items
- Perform pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Maintain detailed logs of security incidents and suspicious activities
- Enforce federal security regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Provide excellent customer service to diverse travelers
Qualifications
- US Citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor records
- Valid California driver's license
