Responsibilities
- Tier 2 Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for county staff via Help Desk ticketing systems.
- Network Maintenance: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and perform routine network maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- System Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols across Active Directory and cloud platforms.
- Asset Management: Inventory and track hardware/software assets, ensuring compliance with county procurement policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, run diagnostics, and create standard operating procedures for IT support.
- Project Support: Assist in the deployment of new software and hardware upgrades across various county departments.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and remote desktop tools. Familiarity with Linux or Mac OS is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving technical incidents efficiently.
- Government Standards: Ability to adhere to strict security protocols and government data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA if applicable).
