Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Manage and maintain the agency's network infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime and optimal performance for all government operations.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and operating systems to internal staff, resolving complex issues efficiently.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive state data, ensuring strict adherence to federal and state cybersecurity standards.
- System Administration: Perform routine server maintenance, patch management, and data backups to maintain system integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system diagrams and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors to ensure the timely delivery of hardware and software solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Cisco CCNA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration within a professional or government environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP networking, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
