Responsibilities
- Securely maintain and optimize federal IT systems supporting veteran healthcare services
- Implement robust cybersecurity protocols compliant with federal standards (NIST/FISMA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams via virtual tools to resolve system outages
- Document system architecture changes and maintain compliance documentation
- Conduct remote vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Train staff on secure remote access protocols
- Monitor system performance using federal-approved monitoring tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
