Responsibilities
- Manage Federal IT Systems: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols in compliance with federal standards, including NIST and FISMA requirements.
- Hardware & Software Support: Provide technical support for end-user hardware (laptops, printers) and software applications, resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
- Network Administration: Administer user accounts, manage permissions, and perform regular network audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Project Implementation: Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including software upgrades and hardware installations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system diagrams and incident reports.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; OR 4 years of IT experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
