Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the city's enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and system administration for internal departments.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to procure, implement, and integrate new software solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes, configurations, and disaster recovery plans.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource allocation.
- Train staff on new technologies and best practices for IT security and usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and government compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
