Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems in compliance with FISMA and NIST standards
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data
- Provide technical support for 200+ federal employees across Sacramento facilities
- Coordinate with federal IT teams on system upgrades and disaster recovery
- Document all IT procedures and maintain federal compliance documentation
- Train staff on new IT systems and security protocols
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience with federal IT systems (GS-12 level equivalent)
- Active Security+ CE certification or higher
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022 and Active Directory
- Experience with VMware and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure preferred)
- Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-53)
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
