Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the city's network infrastructure, including local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and mobile devices across various city departments.
- Implement and monitor information security protocols to protect sensitive government data and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy new IT solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance analysis to ensure optimal uptime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel to various city facilities.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
