Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex IT systems and network environments.
- Cybersecurity Enforcement: Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- System Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure all IT activities comply with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and FISMA standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with department heads and IT teams to align technology solutions with organizational goals.
- Tech Support: Provide expert-level technical guidance and training to administrative staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in IT operations, preferably within the public sector.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Cisco CCNA are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), virtualization, and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Clearance: Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
