Job Overview
The ideal candidate will oversee server maintenance, network security, and provide top-tier technical support to government staff. You will play a pivotal role in modernizing our digital services and maintaining the reliability of essential public services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and server hardware and software.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement robust security protocols.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to internal staff regarding hardware and software issues.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure data integrity.
- Ensure strict compliance with government security standards, data privacy regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT upgrades and migrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering within a government or corporate setting.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
