Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with state standards and timelines.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of server environments, cloud services, and network security protocols.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to identify technical requirements and provide expert consultation on system architecture.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot critical issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party service providers to ensure contract compliance and service quality.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local cybersecurity regulations and data privacy laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or project management.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, PMP, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Experience working within a government or large-scale enterprise environment is a strong plus.
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
