Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for state employees.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project managers to support system upgrades, migrations, and IT initiatives.
- Provide technical support, training, and documentation for end-users regarding new software and hardware.
- Conduct regular system audits and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Kansas driver's license and proof of auto insurance required for travel.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
