Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance controls to safeguard sensitive data.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing on federal networks.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and continuity of operations (COOP) procedures.
- Collaborate with auditors and external security vendors to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Train federal personnel on cybersecurity best practices and agency security policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access is required.
- Five or more years of experience in federal IT security or systems engineering.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FIPS, and FedRAMP security frameworks.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a high-security, fast-paced government environment.
