Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and risk analyses of VA IT systems.
- Develop, implement, and monitor information security policies and procedures in compliance with federal standards.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, including malware analysis and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with network engineers to ensure secure infrastructure configuration.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff on security best practices.
- Prepare reports on security posture and compliance metrics for senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information security or information technology.
- Certification: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
- Active Top Secret clearance is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal regulations such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
