Role Overview:
As an IT Specialist, you will leverage your technical expertise to design, implement, and maintain critical information systems. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and network architectures.
- Ensure the security and integrity of federal data through rigorous compliance with security protocols and standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior IT professionals, providing technical guidance and professional development.
- Conduct system performance analysis and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align IT solutions with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of hardware and software assets.
- Respond to and resolve critical system outages with minimal disruption to services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Active Public Trust security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Proven experience with federal IT infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, server management, and database administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or PMP are highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
