Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and server infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices, including laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Document technical procedures, system configurations, and incident reports in the Service Desk management system.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party contractors to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with state cybersecurity protocols.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Valid CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is required; Security+ or CCNA is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud-based solutions (Azure/AWS).
- Experience with government IT standards and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
