Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex IT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, city departments, and external vendors to define project requirements and success metrics.
- Manage stakeholder communication, providing regular updates, risk assessments, and status reports to senior leadership.
- Utilize Agile and Waterfall methodologies to optimize project workflows and resource allocation.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with government regulations and standards.
- Oversee quality assurance processes and conduct post-implementation reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the public sector or government contracting.
- PMP, PgMP, or Prince2 certification is highly preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude with a deep understanding of software development lifecycles and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon for diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of managing budgets and negotiating contracts with vendors.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic government environment.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Asana.
