Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring adherence to best practices and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical architects, business analysts, and external vendors, to deliver high-quality IT solutions on time and within budget.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to prevent scope creep and ensure project success.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including resource allocation, expense tracking, and financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular status meetings, stand-ups, and stakeholder reviews to maintain transparency and alignment on project goals.
- Ensure all project deliverables comply with state standards, regulations, and security protocols.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our project management processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within a government or large enterprise environment.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is strongly required.
- Proven experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
