Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain network security protocols across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop incident response plans for cyber threats and data breaches
- Collaborate with federal agencies to ensure NIST and FISMA compliance
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Train staff on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Manage identity access control systems and privileged access programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in IT security with federal government background
- Security+ CE, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expert knowledge of FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and federal security protocols
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
