Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems across federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified border security systems
- Develop incident response protocols for cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement agencies on cybersecurity investigations
- Maintain compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DHS security frameworks
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Generate detailed security reports and executive briefings
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience with enterprise-level security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls)
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening and network security protocols
- Knowledge of federal compliance requirements (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)
- Ability to work rotating shifts during critical incident responses
