Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain complex network architectures including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive federal data and comply with NIST standards.
- Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and upgrade legacy systems.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; OR 4 years of specialized experience.
- Certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and routing technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and virtualization (VMware).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
