Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure federal applications using Java, .NET, and cloud technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement agile development methodologies
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards (NIST, FISMA) and accessibility requirements
- Lead system integration projects between VA healthcare databases and external platforms
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers during code reviews and implementation phases
- Document system architecture, processes, and user requirements using federal standards
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical system support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack application development
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Proficiency in Java, C#, React, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Familiarity with federal IT security protocols and compliance frameworks
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- U.S. citizenship required
