Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive individual to manage and optimize our complex IT infrastructure. This role is essential for maintaining the security and uptime of our government contracts.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), including hardware, software, and security protocols.
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and data.
- Configure and troubleshoot server hardware, virtualization platforms (VMware), and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with federal IT standards and security regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff and end-users.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (required).
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration within a government or defense contracting environment.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or VCP are highly preferred.
