Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect data integrity and comply with state cybersecurity policies.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are highly preferred.
