Responsibilities
- Administer and secure federal information systems in compliance with OMB and NIST policies.
- Perform risk assessments and implement security controls to protect sensitive data.
- Monitor system logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software infrastructure.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external auditors and compliance officers to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Manage data backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification such as Security+, CISSP, or GSEC preferred.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in information systems security or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal IT regulations and security frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
