Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure for federal agencies, ensuring adherence to NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Oversee the migration of on-premise systems to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scanning to protect sensitive data.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for critical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute IT strategies that meet agency mission objectives.
- Document system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures for audit readiness.
- Train junior staff and provide technical mentorship within the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal systems engineering or IT infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware components.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-stakes environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and stakeholder reporting.
