Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network systems for state employees and the public.
- Manage and maintain server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and document IT solutions that improve government services.
- Monitor system performance and security alerts, responding swiftly to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Conduct training sessions and create knowledge base articles to empower end-users with technical proficiency.
- Ensure compliance with state IT policies, security protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols (TCP/IP).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be willing to undergo a thorough background check and obtain any required security clearances.
