Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and risk analysis of network systems and infrastructure.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents, including forensic analysis and incident response coordination.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust security controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and report anomalies to the Cybersecurity Operations Center.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into software development and system architecture.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and stakeholders on security protocols and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Certification: Active CISSP, Security+, CEH, or similar DoD approved certification is highly preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess (or be able to obtain) a Top Secret/Secret clearance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, incident response, or information assurance.
- Proficiency in managing Linux and Windows server environments.
- Strong understanding of federal regulations such as NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA.
