Responsibilities
- Manage Federal Networks: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of local and wide-area networks to ensure high availability and security for government clients.
- Implement Security Protocols: Apply advanced cybersecurity measures, including intrusion detection, patch management, and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data.
- Technical Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and operating systems in a high-security environment.
- System Administration: Monitor system performance, perform backups, and ensure compliance with federal IT policies and standards.
- Credential Management: Assist in the management of digital certificates and access controls for personnel and systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation and incident reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Certifications: Active Top Secret clearance preferred; CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments, network engineering, or systems administration.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with stakeholders and technical teams.
