Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) for federal clients.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect government data and systems from cyber threats.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and switches according to strict government protocols.
- Conduct regular system audits and update documentation to ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new IT solutions and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Certification preferred: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration within the government or defense sector.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
- Experience with VPNs, firewalls, and network segmentation.
