Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain: Oversee the day-to-day operations of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Troubleshoot: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for government staff.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure data integrity and government compliance standards.
- System Upgrades: Install, configure, and upgrade servers, workstations, and peripheral devices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network topology, configurations, and incidents.
- Support: Provide technical support and training to internal users across various departments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification: CompTIA Network+ or ITIL Foundation certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in network administration or IT support.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical staff.
- Reliability: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening due to government security clearance requirements.
