Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Design and implement secure network architectures using Cisco and Palo Alto technologies
- Manage incident response protocols for security breaches and cyber threats
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA)
- Oversee cloud security configurations for AWS and Azure environments
- Develop training programs to enhance organizational cybersecurity awareness
- Coordinate with CISA and other federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in IT security with 3+ years in federal systems
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Security+
- Strong knowledge of zero-trust architecture and encryption protocols
- Experience with federal procurement processes (e.g., GSA schedules)
- Ability to obtain DHS-specific security certifications within 6 months
