Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance and uptime for state agencies.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor information security protocols to safeguard sensitive federal and state data against cyber threats.
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues for internal stakeholders and provide technical guidance.
- Project Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of IT infrastructure upgrades and software deployments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, security policies, and incident reports.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of IT services and hardware.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, network administration, or IT support.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Java, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is preferred.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
