Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain secure network architectures using NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response protocols for cyber attacks and data breaches
- Manage identity and access control systems using RBAC and MFA solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design zero-trust security architectures
- Provide technical guidance on cybersecurity best practices to federal stakeholders
- Monitor security operations center alerts and respond to incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT security with federal system exposure
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required within 6 months of hire)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight) and vulnerability scanners
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls framework
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability determination
