Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments, security audits, and penetration testing.
- Implement and monitor security controls to ensure compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST).
- Investigate security incidents, analyze logs, and respond to potential cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Manage user access rights, conduct privilege reviews, and maintain the Identity Management (IdM) system.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and security awareness training to junior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- 5+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or IT operations.
- Familiarity with federal IT security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
