Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure and cybersecurity protocols.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, and system failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance monitoring to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and document technical procedures, best practices, and training materials for staff.
- Manage project lifecycles, including software deployments and major system upgrades.
- Respond to and resolve critical incidents with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration, system engineering, or IT support.
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP), cloud technologies (Azure/AWS), and virtualization platforms.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and New York State data privacy regulations (e.g., NY SHIELD Act).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid New York State Driver’s License or Government ID as required.
