Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network architectures to support state operations.
- Conduct system audits to ensure strict compliance with federal and state security standards.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical technical incidents and provide high-level technical support to government stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy software applications and improve efficiency.
- Develop and document technical policies, procedures, and comprehensive disaster recovery plans.
- Train junior staff and provide mentorship on best practices in IT infrastructure and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in system administration or IT support.
- Proficiency in managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, encryption standards, and vulnerability management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced government setting.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a standard background check.
