We are looking for a visionary problem-solver to enhance our database infrastructure and support complex reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems and data warehousing solutions to support agency reporting and analytics.
- Analyze current system architectures to identify optimization opportunities and improve overall data performance and security.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of new IT projects, ensuring alignment with state compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure system reliability.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on best practices for data governance and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in database administration, data analysis, or systems architecture within a large-scale enterprise or government environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and experience with major RDBMS platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
