Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of complex system solutions that meet state requirements and business objectives.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of servers, virtualization environments, and cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct system performance analysis and tuning to ensure high availability and optimal efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, network engineers, and project managers to define technical specifications.
- Ensure strict adherence to state security protocols, compliance standards, and IT governance policies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Document system architecture, processes, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, network administration, or a related IT role.
- Strong proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is required.
- Valid certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Expert, or PMP are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
