Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive federal data against threats.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Configure and secure virtualization environments and cloud-based systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and security assessments to comply with federal regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and streamline IT workflows.
- Document technical configurations, procedures, and incident reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (favorable background investigation required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or systems administration.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training or site visits.
