Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor server health, network traffic, and application performance during night shifts to ensure zero downtime.
- Ticket Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve IT support tickets, prioritizing critical infrastructure issues that arise during off-hours.
- Data Integrity: Execute nightly backups, system patches, and security updates to maintain system stability and compliance.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to strict government security protocols and access control measures.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of system events, outages, and resolutions for audit purposes.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with day-shift teams to hand over status reports and ensure seamless transitions.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Schedule: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical issues.
