Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for internal staff and city departments.
- Manage and secure network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to end-users.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure knowledge transfer.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support or network administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
