Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure and core applications.
- Design, implement, and manage secure cloud solutions and on-premise systems in strict compliance with federal and state government standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve the user experience for public service portals.
- Conduct system audits, vulnerability assessments, and security assessments to safeguard sensitive citizen data.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to junior IT staff and developers.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field; equivalent years of experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration, software engineering, or technical project management.
- Experience working within the public sector or with government agencies is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, C#, or SQL.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and government compliance regulations (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA, or CalOHA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
